Crazy Days

Today was Olivia's first cheer practice. She has been excited for weeks. I know I have said it a million times but I truly have the utmost respect for my sister-in-law, Carmen. She has four kids, all involved in activites, works full time and still manages to get them all where they need to be on time. Now, you have me. I have two children, one not even potty trained yet and only one that is currently involved in anything. My afternoon consisted of leaving work a little late, driving like Dale Earnhardt, Jr. all the way to school to pick up Olivia, making her strip in the car as we run down the road to get to practice by 5:30. Olivia was saying the whole time, "You want me to do what in the car? Momma, we are going to get a ticket for this!" But I have to say, I was ON TIME!!!

Olivia had a blast a cheer practice. Becuase she was one of the "older" girls on her squad she got to help teach the cheers to the younger ones. You put that girl in any type of "power"position and she is heaven. She kept looking over at me during the practice to make sure I watched her every move. She is such a mess but I honestly wouldn't have her any other way. She definitely keeps life interesting.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

GNO Beach Trip 2010

I am a very blessed girl. I am not only blessed with a wonderful and supportive family, but I am blessed with the best group of friends a girl could have. They are wonderful, talented, caring, insanely funny, charismatic, smart, sassy, wonderful mothers, honest, and my best friends in the whole wide world. We had our first annual GNO beach trip this past weekend. We hung out, ate anything we could put our hands on, laughed and bonded. I have never had such a great time! I love you girls, you are truly a blessing! I am already counting down the days until our next trip!

My 1st Grade Cheerleader

Stop the presses, Mycalee is actually blogging!!I know, I know it has been several several months since I last blogged. We finally fixed our labtop so it should be much easier for me to update. I promise to do better.

Olivia started the 1st Grade on Wednesday! I cannot believe it. She woke up Wednesday morning and said, "Momma, today is a special day! I'm officially in the first grade." It seems the older she gets the quicker it goes by. She, of course, is loving being in the first grade. She has done so well thus far. Hopefully it will continue throughout the year.

Here is a pic of our little first grader (notice the missing teeth):

This past weekend was Olivia's cheer clinic. She loves doing this every year because the squads are taught by the Trussville High School Cheerleaders so Olivia is, of course,in heaven. She thinks they are "sooo cool" as she puts it. I have been chosen to be one of the "team moms." I was very excited so hopefully things will go really smooth for me since this is my first year with that job.

Here are some pics from the cheer clinic:

Finally, I have some good news. My sister and nieces will be here this coming weekend!!! Yay, this will be the first time in over ten years that I will actually live in the same state with my sister and parents. Can't wait for the holidays!!!

Here is a pic of Lexie and Kaylie(My two beautiful nieces)
