Hump Day!

Well Happy Hump Day everyone! Thank the Lord the week is almost over. I sometimes feel like I wish my life away but I seriously look forward to my days off. My children have decided that they want to stay sick ALL the time. Well maybe not ALL the time but at least one of them has been sick every week for the past 4 weeks. That is no joke. My poor little niece was diagnosed with the swine flu on Monday. And guess who she spent all Friday night with.....that's right my Olivia. So I wasn't totally surprised when I got a call from the school yesterday. Olivia was running a low grade fever and had thrown up. LOVELY! Thank you to my wonderful hubby who took off work, picked her up at school (even though he forgot she was in big girl school and went to the daycare first, god love him) and then drove to the CP (for you non Alabama people that's center point) to drop her off at his Mommy's. And then got back out and took Olivia to the doctor at 4:00. Now my husband has been to the doctor with the kids before but never late in the afternoon on a school day. He called me three times while he was at the doctors office. Once, to ask why we even made appointments because they were not going to see her at that time anyways. The second time was to ask me how sick did I really think she was. And the last time was to tell me good night because he said he wouldn't be out of the doctor's office before I went to bed. I told him, "Welcome to my world!" Thank you Lord it was not the swine flu but because she has been exposed she has to take the tamiflu for ten days. She actually tested negative for everything. I guess she still has a touch of the virus she had before. I am like most people who have heard about the wide spread epidemic of the swine flu that has hit the Trussville area and really the whole state. Well I didn't realize how bad it really was until I had to call TEN, yes TEN, stores to find Tamilflu. I finally found one in Leeds that still had it but they were almost out. So ten phone calls and sixty dollars later, we have the Tami Flu a/k/a Liquid Gold. Then to top the night off I had planned on making spaghetti and realized i had no meat laid out so we had spaghetti noodles and sauce...no meat. It was still yummy, although I could tell by my husband's face that after all evening in the doctor's offfice, he was really not feeling it. :) Just another day in the life of the Stults......

Love to all,

Mycalee

I love Sandon's reaction about the doctor. Everytime Ben goes with me he says the same thing, what's the point in making an appointment. Too funny!

Man, I hate your niece got the swine flu. Poor baby. I'm glad Olivia doesn't have it. Thank God you found some Tamiflu. You should have seen how many people were in the ER last night.. mostly thinking they had the flu. They said they have been covered up with people. I can only imagine. I hope Olivia and your niece get to feeling better.

Poor Olivia, I hope she feels better soon. Men have no idea what we women go through with our children, it's so nice to expose them to that every now and then, LOL!
